Four at Newcastle

Everaard  *  Triple Eight ** Jasper Massini **  Moscow Presents

everaard wins at donnyWe are four handed at Newcastle today…and we know what happened last time we took four runners ! (we could have got very rich if we had backed them all) . We didn’t expect four winners that day and we don’t today either, but we do have some nice chances, in particular Everaard  the first of our four runners. He has been in great form of late and Adam takes off some valuable pounds today as Everaard bids for win number 8. With Richie sidelined Adam will know he has been in a race as this talented but lazy customer can take some kicking on! He likes to get into the lead and get in a good rhythm if he can, and he stays particularly well.

Moscow Presents has also been in good form this winter and being by Presenting he should appreciate this quicker surface, Adam gets on with him well although he looks handicapped up to his best at present, fences should see improvement in him next season. Henry Brooke rides Jasper Massini the family owned horse, and he has had lots of niggling problems but is hopefully back on track after a satisfactory comeback 6 weeks ago. He is another who prefers a sound surface.  All ground comes alike to Triple Eight, although Phil has a suspicion that handicapper may have been a bit hard on him given his three runs so far, we will see how he performs dropped into handicap company today and good luck to Philip Dennis who takes the opportunity on him in this Amateurs and Conditionals ‘hands and heels’ race.

Good Luck to all our Owners, Jockeys & Horses today and safe passage back first and foremost.

Pass Muster disappointed yesterday at Fakenham – a long drive back for all, but he lives to fight another day and this step into fast open handicap company looked a step to far yesterday at this stage of his career, perhaps the handicapper needs to relent a little as he gave him some huge hikes for his win and 2nd at Musselburgh.
