Exeter today – not our usual venue for racing, Simon and Adam have taken Pass Muster down overnight, Phil was all set to go but stranded at Dublin airport all day yesterday due to high winds and only left at 4pm. Its not often you take a 12lb ‘well in’ horse racing, only to find a ’13lb’ well in horse in front of you in the betting. The Ian Williams trained ‘Portway Flyer’ has won its last two impressively, the last time just 2 days ago. Will it be fresh enough to take on our lad, or will we feel the effects of the ‘Bounce factor’? Pass Muster was having his first run for over 200 days at Musselburgh. We won’t know until they meet at 12.55, and lets hope with a journey like that to drive home, that it goes in our favour!! he is pictured here winning last week with Adam Nicol who teams up with him again today. best of luck to his Owners, Keith and Jayne Sivills. Drama yesterday evening at W’hampton when the fancied Marmot Bay managed to sit down and then roll over under the stalls. Thankfully Eva managed to get out and neither were seriously harmed, although no doubt bruised this morning. What an anti climax for Owner Greg Mcrann who was there to watch his filly.

Our Mysterious Wonder ran well in the first, he is looking ready to win again over Christmas and if anyone is fancying buying them selves a Christmas present, he could be a quick fire winner. Priced at £4000, he is a sound, tough and enthusiastic customer who is going to win his share of races and is only a 3 year old.

What a day at both yards yesterday, the weather was dreadful. Fortunately the wind dropped in the end and we managed to get some out to exercise at Castleton. Here is Pat, Prince and ‘not quite a racehorse’ (our new showcob) going out to exercise!
