Philip Kirby Racing

Racehorse Trainer based at Richmond, North Yorkshire

Sunday 22nd September

What a beautiful day its been , warm sunshine and all the horses rugs were back off until bedtime. Phil was pleased with the 4th place from oscar O’scar at Uttoxeter as he had looked pretty hard in on his current  handicap mark but he battled away nicely at the end for Richie.  Hopeful he can progress from here now.

Some of our boys this evening in the late evening sunshine…waiting for their haylage…

Happy now!! some of them are sleeping out tonight at Dibble as its so warm and they prefer it.

Tomorrow its Mysterious Wonder at Hamilton, he has been hard to win with so far this summer, and it remains to be seen what is actually his best trip.  Eva Moscrop has the ride, good luck to all concerned.

More photos from Friday at the yard.

There are plenty of entries for the week ahead, the DBS sales purchase Kiwayu has an entry at Carlisle on Tuesday, and I am looking forward to watching Word of Warning as well as he makes his debut for us.On a personal note I am counting down the days until Newmarket on October 12th. it’s down to Phil and everyone at Sharp Hill to keep Platinum in top form for another 19 days, as some of the fancies drop out it is getting very exciting. I have never been to Newmarket and I am not sure Platinum has either. He was looking in tremendous shape out in the paddock yesterday after exercise.
