A busy week beckons after one of our quietest of 2013.  We have three up to Musselburgh tomorrow and all have chances, (Dr Irv, Burns Night & Jawaab)  it would be great to see Dr Irv gain win number four of the season and join Platinum and Just Paul at the top of the table!  The race is typically competitive for decent prize money, Irv likes the track but wouldn’t want any further ease in the ground – this applies for our other runners too, both in the same race.  We are taking three up but bringing four back, Philip is collecting hurdler ‘Bob’s Ticket’ on his return journey and he starts back into training at Sharp Hill. Platinum also heads back there early tomorrow morning and is back in proper work ahead of his Cesarawitch tilt on October 12th.

New Broodmare ‘Royalty’  for Preesall Garage arrived at Dibble Bridge today, she is the dam of Agglestone Rock and is in foal to Native Ruler. She is not as tall as i expected but is substantially made. Her yearling filly is a lovely sort and she is also with us but her 3 year old gelding is at Sharp Hill.

Partnership News:

Next Edition has been declared for Thirsk on Tuesday, he runs before his handicap mark goes up for finishing a close 2nd at York. Its 1m 4f again – he has been a good servant all summer once more – A valuable h’cap win, 2 seconds, a third ..so far..

We have sold nearly all the shares in the Waking Ned P’ship….just 1 or 2 remain as of today.

The Topspec’s P’ship, ‘Factor Fifty’ is coming to hand nicely and maintaining the weight he gained over the summer, he is an exciting prospect for this winter season and will be schooled soon.

Worth a King’s won’t be far off a run for The Philip Kirby Racing P;ship, he has a slight setback but is firing on all cylinders again now.

Sue and Ashley Clarke, part owners in ‘Lucky Sun’ sent me some lovely photos from their morning on the gallops on Saturday.  They also watched him school  with Richie aboard and he did it nicely. The first photo also includes new 3 year old ‘Hail the Brave’  (Adam Nicol) who wears a hood at exercise to keep him calm as he can be slightly hot headed!
