Lord T off to Catterick today

Runners today are luckily just round the corner at Catterick, no mega trip like it was for Victor yesterday all the way down to Brighton! No joy down there either unfortunately so hopefully we can find some at Catterick. We have Lady Bouquet who will be looking to improve on her last effort and returns to Catterick where she ran respectably for 6th on her debut, ridden by Andrew Mullen again for owners James & Susan Cookson. Lord Torranaga comes back to Catterick after brutally missing out by a nose here last time out under Graham Lee – back on today for owners The Lord Torranaga Partnership.

The Great Yorkshire Show

Merlin & Wizard

Its showing season and those of you who follow the showing side of PKR will know that Merlin aka Monivea Black Magic has been expanding his collection of Red rosettes considerably lately and was busy adding The Great Yorkshire Show to his list yesterday. Winning his class for the second year running up against 51 entries. It was lovely to see daughter Indy alongside in the ring aboard her Wizard who at just 4 years old has done remarkably well – well done to Indy, move over mother! Today its Madi Patzelt’s turn in the ROR class and she will be up against last years Champion one of our ex racers Rich Man Poor Man and Kirstine Douglas. Good luck to you all! Other ex racers doing well lately are Gordalan winning a Red rosette at a County show with Lynn Russell (pictured above) and also Eastview Boy (below) who is on his way to the ROR Championships at Aintree in August with Sarah Callan. Great to see life is far from over after racing for these lovely horses, we are forever grateful for the homes you guys give them!
