Winners!

We were pleased to see this past week give us 2 more winners on the score board! First up was Heritier de Sivola (above) with a solid performance at Kelso on Sunday making all and delivering a beautiful round of jumps under Tommy Dowson for a first win since joining us for owner Grant Nicholson. A welcome bit of luck following the sad loss of Grant’s other horse Sunset West recently who is much missed in the yard. The step up in trip for Heritier de Sivola aka ‘Pierre’ seemed to be much to his liking and we hope he can now build on this in his season ahead.

On Monday we saw Busby land his 3rd course & distance win at Wolverhampton, he loves it there! 3 of his 4 wins have been here, with the other being Kempton on his very first run for us. A nice win for his Busby Partnership under a great ride by Kevin Stott. Also at Wolves was Caracristi who narrowly missed out on making it a double on the night by half a length, perhaps a victim of her honest consistency, she seems to find one with a bit in hand just getting the better of her unfortunately.

Busby looking proud of his nights work!

Today…..

We were supposed to be seeing Loan Star and Zwicky battle it out in the conditional jockeys h’cap hurdle at Newcastle with Jay (Zwicky) and Joe (Lone Star) doing the steering, but Phil wasnt happy when checking the track after such a hard frost last night and pulled them out. Later we were also due to see Hubbel Bubbel making his racing debut in the bumper with Tommy on board….better safe than sorry, better luck next time.

Huge congratulations are due to Megan Dent!!!! Megan (above) has won the EMERGING TALENT Award at the National Horseracing Writers & Photographers Awards in London. She has spent years perfecting her skills with a camera, completely self-taught and has literally emerged as a professional photographer. During lock down she got up before dawn many days in search of the perfect pictures, which many of you will have seen on Facebook and in her calendars and other merchandise she sells. Take a look at her page Megan Dent Photography.
