Autonomy wins & news update

Autonomy Is proving a bit of a superstar for us and Hambleton Racing. We feel he has scope for further improvement as he steps up in trip, and he showed willingness yet again to get his head in front in this class five race at Newcastle yesterday. Andrew Mullen gave him a cool ride from last to first, and he won this off a mark off 55. Autonomy is out of the same dam as Derby winner Authorized, but he had had a setback when he was bought for very reasonable money at Goffs sales out of Sir Mark Prescott’s yard a couple of years ago. He has proved a good buy after a patient start and we hope we can continue his winning ways.

It was a mixed day of results with Busby not running his usual competitive race but JASEY Showed some promise in the last on his racing debut for Hope Eden Racing, hopefully he can build on this next time. Today we have Tommaso in a highly competitive affair at York for Mrs Joyce Porter, Silvestre de Sousa rides him in the 4.45.

We are still waiting for Musikhani to foal, there have been many false alarms with the FOALING ALARM as she lies down and stretches out, but I think she is still a few days off yet. I hope so anyway as Phil is on mare duty tonight as Indy & I are heading to Royal Windsor Horse Show with Merlin & George to compete on Thursday. Very exciting and a bonus of 2 days off school!
