Barney’s Gift in the winners enclosure

The day belonged to 2 year old Barney’s Gift’ who made every post a winning one for Owners Darren & Annaley Yates. Having his second start for us he improved from his Pontefract 3rd and this was a positive ride from Billy Garitty. He has always impressed at home and he’s a seriously good looking colt who can continue to progress.

Raiff travelled well for a long way on his comeback at Lingfield and now qualifies for handicaps, and Simon took Madeeh to Newcastle and although he duly won BTO he was slowly away from the stalls again and is now heading for a crack over hurdles.

Tomorrow sees homebred 4 year old ‘Princess’ ( Lady’s Present) make her Mares bumper debut at Musselburgh in the 3.50 ridden by Tommy Dowson . By the late great sire, PRESENTING out of resident winning Broodmare LADY CHLOE, see her journey in photos from just a few hours old when she was born at Sunnyhill stud in Ireland for us & joint breeder John Hanson of Ace Bloodstock. Carefully brought on as a youngster, ridden away by Wil Lanagan and also in her 3 year old season by Nick Barratt-Atkin , Henry Newcombe & Colm McCormack. Phil didn’t run her in the Spring, deciding to give her another summer out before going racing & she is more mature for it. This Autumn Tommy has built up a good partnership with her & is looking forward to her debut tomorrow along with her Owners, The Team Kirby Partnership. Best of luck to beautiful Princess 🐎
