A star studded SATURDAY

All eyes on Stargazer today as he lines up for the £150,000 NORTHUMBERLAND PLATE

What a day ! We are very excited as this is a race we’ve been looking forward to running Stargazer in for so long & he’s comfortably made the cut off 96. Top jockey Paul Hanagan is in the saddle and all of Team PKR will be shouting him home in the 3.30 at Newcastle. He is a big price around the 28-1 mark but merits plenty of respect coming here fresh & well and loves the track & likely strong pace. He doesn’t have the best of draws in 16 but hopefully he will weave his way through late on! We’re wishing Owners the Hassall family lots of luck and ourselves too as we are proud to own half of him, he is a real family affair. Let’s watch him in previous winning action to remind us how good he is!

The unmistakeable STARGAZER with his curly ears

We have a lot of talented horses running tomorrow – the young horse Grey Matter makes his racecourse debut at Chester, we also have the flashy Carlos Felix in there and not forgetting ICONIC BELLE who will only run if the ground is good or quicker. Up the A1 at Newcastle we see Magellan’s first run since last year, the big horse is a favourite of Phil’s – he bought him back to have another try this season. Little India also runs in this 1m 4f handicap and this should be more her cup of tea back on the AW. Red Force One tries his hand in the Consolation Plate and he should give a good account of himself, the ground was a bit dead for him last time at Epsom. He thoroughly enjoyed his trip to the beach earlier in the week! To round off the card we have MADEEH who is back at his favourite track although the trip is a shade on the sharp side. He’s had a short break & a freshen up, he was a superstar all winter on the AW ⭐️
