Wednesday’s News

All eyes will be on Bushy Park as he lines up at 12.15 at Haydock , this time Joe is in the saddle claiming 7lbs and he has a favourites chance providing his Hexham soft ground win has not taken too much out of him. There has been much written about his win in the press, and most annoyingly a lot of the pieces stated that he had no previous form  at all. This was not correct, he won an Irish point to point in good style 4 runs prior to his Hexham win, and when he started off in Novice hurdles for us ( on much quicker ground) our yard was not in top form. Fast forward to November and we have had 8 winners in one month, the ground has turned soft , Bushy had been settling better at home, wearing his tounge tie,  allowing him to work better. He opened up a falsely big price given ground conditions and form of the yard. On the day he settled  better in front at Hexham, recapturing his point form and won in good style for Tommy after a well judged ride from the front. Let’s hope Joe can work the same magic today off a much higher mark.

We rather  liked this piece that was written – Thankyou 👏

Our second runner is the young horse ‘South Terrace’ in the Novice. He is one for chases in the future being a winning pointer from Ireland  but hopefully he will progress over hurdles with every run and we will see more from him today.

Yesterday we hit the cross bar with a close second from RAVENSCAR at Newcastle, another really good run from her and she is developing into a consistent staying mare.

Adelphi Prince ran another good race too – 3rd at Southwell for Joe and jumping well in this competitive handicap. The handicapper seems to have him where he wants him, and may need to relent a little if he is to get his honest head in front.
