Saturday at Kelso

Oak Vintage our next runner at Kelso
We have two of our three left to run at Kelso today, and pleased to say that Tekibleu de l’Orme jumped round safely but awkwardly & will prefer to go back to Carlisle or a similar track next time, he didn’t look comfortable here today. Oak Vintage in the 2mile chase at 3.43 is however, a course winner, and he’ll appreciate the good ground on offer with Ross Chapman in the plate. With several non runners his task looks a little easier – good luck to his Owner Mrs Joyce Porter in whose pink & purple colours he runs. Oak Vintage was just touched off on his seasonal debut at Sedgefield.
Our final runner is the staying handicap hurdler, ‘Dubh Des Champs’ for the Des Champs Partnership in the 4.53. He’s being ridden for the first time by Conditional Bill Shanahan and he has the visor on today that he wore when a close 2nd at Doncaster last Spring. He’s another that doesn’t want too much rain and is capable of running a big race.

From an experienced horse to those just starting out – our 7 foals have weaned well and are keeping warm in the barn out of this wintry weather. We think you will enjoy the video below.
