Saturday at Catterick & Market Rasen

Rayna’s World who runs in the Apprentice Race at Catterick.

We’ve a host of runners across 2 cards today… the new grey  ‘Dame du Ruban’ kicking off proceedings at Market Rasen and we’re looking forward to this attractive Mare making her stable debut. Pennine Cross makes his hurdling debut at 2.46 and he jumps well at home, he’s followed by the classy Louis Vac Pouch who runs in the big race of the day with Tommy on board. Louis ran a big race at the Cheltenham Festival and all plans will be geared to another bold show there next year as well as hopefully a tilt at Aintree.

Louis Vac Pouch, high class middle distance handicap chaser

Colm  McCormack has done a lot of work on Wye Aye and we’d love to see his patience rewarded with a win in the novice handicap chase  at 5.06 but whatever he does today there should be more to come this season. Wye Aye has the size and stature of a chaser – good luck to Owners The Well  Oiled Partnership.

Gordalan runs in the same race as Rayna’s World and he was a good winner of this last year user Zak Wheatley – this will both Gordon and Rayna’s seasonal debuts. Our Conditional jockey Joe Williamson has taken out his Apprentice Licence to ride Rayna  and let’s hope he gets quickly off the mark in what looks a hot handicap with a short priced Brian Ellison favourite.

Ten to Follow points will be published this evening 🤞🏻
