Thursday at Musselburgh
It’s a late one at Musselburgh tonight, the journey home will be a long one if MADEEH doesn’t justify his favourite odds in the 9 o clock … we’re thinking positive and he goes there with a favourites chance, Kevin Stott back on board and plenty going for him. There are one or two tricky ones and Phil certainly respects Trainer friend, Iain Jardine’s duo.
3 days at the Goffs UK sales resulted in Phil making two store purchases, a striking grey by Top French stallion, Kapgarde for an existing Owner, and a big powerful bay son of Dylan Thomas out of a half sister to Grand National second, Cappa Bleu. The bay will appear on our for sale page shortly and may be offered 100% or as a 20 Owner Partnership horse. He is every inch a future staying chaser.
We’ve had some mixed weather recently, hot one minute and pouring down the next but we’ve still managed to get turnout on a rotation basis for our in-training horses , and we had to laugh at this pair a few days ago – Top Ville Ben & Suggestion having a ball.
Tuesday saw the Ace Bloodstock broodmare ‘Skid’ arrive back from stud with her beautiful, tall ‘Al Kazeem’ filly foal, and all the colt foals we’re pretty impressed and interested in the new arrival.
Partnership Owners have been updated by Sarah again the last few days as she has come back to start in the office again, it’s great to have her back 😊Expect an email imminently if you are in a Partnership not yet updated. Some photos of our Partnership horses…
At the races we’ve seen some promising runs from Lord Toronago at Thirsk last night, and we were also pleased with the effort from Ravenscar in her seasonal debut in a hot race. Our jumpers at Market Rasen will come on from their efforts.
Katie was also pleased to win Best Turned Out last night at Thirsk for her efforts 👏
