Cheltenham Cross Country Schooling

A cracking photo of LITTLE BRUCE & STELLAR NOTION who went schooling at Cheltenham on Monday despite the snow here… We made it out! Photos my Megan Dent Photography

Tommy & Henry ( ‘one of the best days of my life’) had a memorable afternoon at Cheltenham schooling over the unusual fences that make up the Cheltenham Cross Country race. Little Bruce holds an entry at the Festival in the race but wouldn’t want heavy ground….if he doesn’t run this is still valuable experience for next seasons November meeting, and he took to it brilliantly as we hoped he might… we hope you enjoy this GO PRO video and Megan’s superb photos. The video has had 20,600 views on Facebook so far! Its a rare opportunity to see what it is like jumping these big hedges, banks and drips and all on the back of one of the smallest ( and bravest) steeplechasers in training – the 15.1hh Cambridgeshire & North Yorkshire Grand National winner, Little Bruce.

Henry is riding the Hunter Chaser ‘Stellar Notion’ who we have been sent by good friends, the Clark family, and he is a classy individual who formerly ran in the 2017 Grand National. He is looking for better ground as so many are….
