Alsvinder comes 2nd at Catterick

We managed to hit the crossbar yet again at Catterick yesterday – it’s certainly been a summer of ‘near misses’ and this was the second time that ALSVINDER has filled No. 2 spot at our local track for us. He tried his all and he still looks in good heart to get his head in front before the season is out – Kevin Stott gave him an excellent ride & Julie kept up her excellent record of Best Turned Out awards coming home to Green Oaks.

Conditional Tom Midgley rides Alsvinder every day at home, but it’s his turn to race ride tomorrow, and he’ll be looking forward to getting the leg up on RICHARD STRAUSS who is third in the betting to give Tom his first winner for our Team in the 1.30 at Sedgefield. Claiming a valuable 10lbs it will certainly be a good help and he knows him well.

Richard has a visitor today but she slept all throughout their meeting! Meet 4 day old ‘Bonnie Elizabeth’ who is the beautiful daughter of Caitlin Hepburn who of course worked for us last Winter. Caitlin has missed riding her favourite horse but assures us she’ll be back.

Caitlin & Bonnie

Its been a notable week at home as with lots of extras hours -early starts & late nights, Phil & Simon together with Henry’s help, have  laid the new gallop surface – 2 days solid and it’s done.

A job you just can’t rush – but needs to be finished as quick as possible so it can be ridden on again!

We’ve been busy catching horses, moving youngsters and videoing our 2 yearling colts today – see the for sale page. They are two correct and strong yearlings and we’d love to keep them on the yard.
