The sky over Green Oaks today

Its a sunny afternoon here at the yard and another mornings exercise is over for the day and all is quiet with the horses enjoying a snooze. Victor is off down the fields for some fence maintenance and the only noise is farrier Toby busy shoeing the upcoming runners.

Lucky Icon

Todays runner is Keith & Jayne’s recent recruit Lucky Icon who runs at Carlisle’s flat meeting in the amateur race with Henry Newcombe taking the ride. The ground just might be on the softer side of what he would find ideal, but he looks to be well in off his flat mark and we hope for a promising first run for us – hopefully adding another to his current double. We wish all involved the best of luck and a happy, safe return home.

No runners for the weekend, but we have newcomer for The Harbour Rose Partnership Madeeh holding an entry for Ripon and also Gordalan for Buckingham Flooring a possible for Chepstow, both on Monday.

Dubh Des Champs

Its great to see Dubh Des Champs back out on the gallops following his time off for tendon trouble. He is looking great and we really hope he can get back out on track for his The Des Champs Partnership. Pictured above with Sam – she loves him and is his main pilot at home. Sam has been doing a great job keeping him steady for his re-introduction to work as he can be a little tricky and enthusiastic at times.
