Iconic Belle at Wetherby yesterday

It was another 2nd for Iconic Belle, beaten only by the favourite. She will undoubtedly find herself in the winners spot soon, a lovely horse with a good attitude.

Fingal’s Cave

We have Fingal’s Cave running in the 6pm mile h’cap at Doncaster tonight with Paul Hanagan jock’d up for owners TheRedHotGarDogs. He could do with a bit of rain to be seen at his best, but as yet we are still waiting for it to hit Donny. Good luck to him and all connections. He has headed off in the box at lunchtime with Phil and his Assistant for the day – daughter Indy, who has a very real interest in taking over dads trade already at just 10yrs old…….and Phil says he wont be plaited – a skill he and Indy are yet to master!

Zigzag winners enclosure at Cartmel on Wednesday

It was all smiles for Zigzag’s win in the mud at Cartmel as Tommy rode out his claim – a double celebration!

Today is also a double celebration as Nick Barrattt-Atkins is 17 and freshly retired Nautical Nitwit is 10….one career starting as another ends…or rather steps down a gear or two!
