Friday’s News & Sales roundup

It was a day to remember at Goffs UK yesterday and for us to be bringing home the outstanding top lot ‘Interconnected’ was the sort of result that dreams are made of. Huge thanks go to Darren & Annaley Yates for entrusting him to us. What a stunning big horse he is, barely breaking sweat to win his point to point and then galloping all the way to the line in his novice hurdle to just get touched off by the top class Emitom. There was huge interest in him on the day and it was incredibly tense being sat in the ring as the new bidder jumped in on the telephone…watch the last part of the bidding on a slightly shaky video I took yesterday!

The Racing Post Report –

Now called Connor at home, he and his new friends from Doncaster have settled in well. Here are some photos of him yesterday and out in the field today…

Interconnected

Phil’s signature may be slightly shaky here as he signs for Interconnected on behalf of Darren & Annaley Yates

First day out in the paddock

Below are the other 3 lovely young horses we bought plus we also brought back multiple winner, SAKHEE’S CITY who looks set for another winter season with us but remains open to a sensible offer – he’s well handicapped to win a decent race over hurdles once he gets his favoured soft/ heavy ground, it was a very dry winter for him.

This smart 5 year old Blue Bresil filly won last time out and was travelling well alongside Posh Trish previously. We would like to think she could win another Mares novice before her summer break.  This was Tommy riding her out this morning. She has the size and scope to jump a fence in time.

Dieu Benisse & Tommy

This good looking 5 year old son of Saddler Maker, won a maiden hurdle at Ascot last time out and can make up into a lovely middle distance novice chaser. He has been bought for an existing Partnership.

We have given this powerfully built SHAMARDAL 3 year old the name of ‘Albert’ for good luck and we are sure our Uncle Albert would have approved. Unraced, he is a high class bumper prospect bought from Juddmonte.

Plenty of entries over the weekend and into next week…. we will be keeping our news well up to date so do check in every day for new videos & photos.
