Sunday’s News & Winner!

Zig Zag wins at Wetherby

video to follow later

Wetherby really is our lucky track this Jumps season – Zig Zag became our 3rd winner of the year and equalled last seasons NH total 3.5 months early! It hasn’t gone unnoticed that Sean Quinlan gave him a particularly clever ride, dictating a moderate pace and then kicking clear off the home bend to steal the race on the top weight an an overdue hurdles success finally coming Zig Zag’s way for long standing Owners Gary & Kate Capstick.

The Racing Post analysis…

Of our other runners, Archippos jumped more fluently than on debut and stayed on encouragingly in the Novice Hurdle and Andorn’s Legacy was disappointing in the bumper but will be given another chance in a couple of weeks.

We’ve got two days off racing now, and tomorrow we’ll take a look at our Spring targets. Our stats for this NH season are looking really good with a 17% overall win strike rate, and a 29% win chase strike rate.
