Saturday’s News & video

Suggestion having a quiet canter yesterday

We’re looking to get our first winner on the board of 2019 after some placed efforts at Newcastle on Thursday. Boxing Day winner, Suggestion is a short priced second favourite to have his name on that roll of honour, getting the racing day off to a very early start at 11.55 at Newcastle. In the abscence of Adam Nicol who has had a successful operation to pin his broken femur, Sean Quinlan takes the ride for Red Cap Racing, and he also gets the leg up on Ice Galley in the Novice Hurdle. Sean has ridden a host of recent winners for us and is an excellent jockey – he was in schooling yesterday and we hope you enjoy this mixed schooling video.

Some photos from the session :

A familiar face back riding out – and on one of his favourite horses, Wemyss Point. A canter round the field for this trio who loved the variety.

A photo from Newcastle on Thursday – a promising run from Ice Pyramid in the maiden for 3rd on his second racecourse start.
