Stenna & Kilcullen Flem head off to Uttoxeter

We have our two mud loving stayers Transient Bay and Kilcullen Flem out today at Uttoxeter. Transient Bay is returning to the race he won last year but it looks much more competitive this time around with some decent opposition lining up. He is in great order at home though and with the yard also currently in good form, we are hopeful and wish him the best of luck with Adam Nicol on board for his owners The Waking Ned Partnership – with a huge crowd of them planning to join us at Uttoxeter to support their gentle giant. Kilcullen Flem takes on the 3m chase, the race before Stenna’s. He won on his first time out for us on heavy ground at Hexham, so we hope to see him go well fresh again for us in this similar contest for owners David Obree, David McDermott & Paul Betts with Adam Nicol on board. We are a few staff short today so you will see Phil and Pippa taking to the ‘shop floor’ at Uttoxeter and they will no doubt do as good a job as the rest of us with Pippa’s showing expertise making sure they are in top class turn out looking as smart as they always do! Good luck to all runners & riders – come home safe, and we hope all our owners attending today have a great afternoon.

The weather is decidedly wintery today, and Top Cat is no fool! He has a perfectly good view of the goings on outside from the comfort of the office window sill, next to the heater.
