Wed 7th Feb…

Fakenham has been abandoned due to the snow, so unfortunately Northern Girl and Rock Of Leon wont be running – luckily it was called off nice and early so nobody had yet set out in the lorry. We don’t have any snow up here at Green Oaks today, its very fresh and cold, but the sun is shining.

Looking ahead to tomorrow we have 3 runners, one jumper – Nautical Nitwit at Doncaster, and two on the AW at NewcastleThe Resdev Way and Mangata.

Doncaster –

Nitwitstable

Nautical Nitwit

The ever gutsy Nitwit goes to Donny for the 3m hurdle with a handy enough 10 runner field. It looks competitive, but as always Nitwit will undoubtedly be trying his best with his usual top effort. Ridden tomorrow by Adam Nicol for owners The Birrafun 2 partnership.

Newcastle –

ResdevWay

The Resdev Way

The Resdev Way returns to Newcastle tomorrow after clearly not loving Chelmsford in his last run. He returned to the flat after not seeming to be enjoying hurdles and ran a blinder for second at Newcastle back in early Jan, just not quite holding on to win – clearly relishing reverting back to the flat. Ridden by Paul Hanagan for owners Resdev.

MangataStable

Mangata

Mangata seemed to put in a more willing show at Newcastle last time out with his blinkers and tongue tie added, but it was a messy race where he got left in no-mans-land tailing the 2 leaders and lengths ahead of the following pack for a large part of the race before getting a little interference 2f out – not ideal for him as he looks to be easily put off. Its fair to say he needs to show improvement or we may have to re-think his future career as it wouldn’t be fair to keep him going if he just doesn’t enjoy it. We wish him the best of luck and hope to see him get a better ran race tomorrow, ridden by Jamie Gormley for his owners The Philip Kirby Partnership.

Good luck to all our runners, riders & owners tomorrow, and most importantly come home safe.
