News Fri 2nd Feb…

Only the one runner today – Good Time Ahead down at Wolverhampton tonight with Fran Berry on board for owners Alan Fairhurst, John Greenbank and Colin Fletcher. Unfortunately Shine Baby Shine has pulled out of her box a little lame this morning so wont be making an appearance at Catterick today.

Buttons heads back to Leopardstown this afternoon

Phil will be leaving with stable star Lady Buttons for the ferry over to Leopardstown later today ahead of her run on Sunday in the Paddy Mullins mares handicap hurdle with 70k prize money on offer. She is in top form and following her very respectable 4th here last time over a trip that was a little far, we know she likes the track and she is definitely not with out a chance. Teamed up with her usual jockey Adam Nicol we wish her luck and know she will do her best for owners Keith & Jayne Sivills. Unfortunately the timing of the race has fell on the wrong dates for Jayne(we could count on one hand how many track visits she has missed of her runners over the past 9 yrs with us!) who will be on her 60th Birthday trip to New York, leaving Keith & son Gary to head over and support their mare. We just hope the New Yorkers are ready for Jayne wherever she watches it – there will no doubt be much shouting!! We hope Buttons does herself proud, and most of all comes home safe, best of luck to her, Keith & Jayne, Adam and all the team!
