Weekend Review

Robin des Chapp stretching his legs today in the sunshine
We had a day of no runners but it’s never a quiet day at the yard – 52 horses in and plenty of runners to ride out for the coming weeks entries.

Yesterday we saw Nautical Nitwit in the prizemoney yet again – a Class 2 at Aintree , and had it not been for a mistake at a crucial time he would likely have been closer. He is an admirably tough little customer who always tries his heart out but is currently just where the handicapper wants him.

Nemean Lion was just out the 4 at Kelso – he is likely to drop back in trip next time as this 3m 2f just found him out after travelling well. Fingal’s Cave was midfield at Donny on the final day of the flat – he’s had a long season and will resume next Spring after a well earned break. We haven’t finished with the flat though – Mr Carbonator heads to the AW next week.

We’ve seen some new arrivals over the past few weeks and this fine looking 3 yr old Beneficial filly arrived today – she is one to look forward to.

We are also pleased with how our Kayf Tara yearling filly is developing – a big strong sort with a great temperament.
