Tues – Team meal night!

We all headed into Bedale last night for an Indian to say good bye to a couple of our team and celebrate a few recent winners!

Taste of India – Team Meal Night.

Stacey and Sam have both decided to broaden their horizons and head off to college. We wish them well and hope they don’t become strangers as they will both be genuinely missed.

We have known Sam many years as he originally did a short spell for us way back at Castleton pre 2012 before re-joining us at Sharp Hill in Middleham. He has given the staff many years of entertainment with his endless singing and funny banter, much needed through some of the bleaker days riding out in the lovely English winters! He aims at a career change into architecture, but is still going to continue with his stalls work, so wont be completely leaving the horses behind.

‘Stenna’ enduring Sam’s antics!

Stacey has also been a much valued member of staff who loves the horses and always trys her best. Quite often the source of Sam & Tommy’s ‘banter’ she takes it in good humour and will no doubt miss them all when she’s gone! She goes back to college for more horse related studies and will hopefully call back the odd time to have a spin on a few of her fav’s.

Stacey with Nemeon Lion.

The night started in the Taste of India in Bedale where we must say the food comes highly recommended! We finished off with a few more drinks up the road, with a few members having maybe one too many!!! Lets just say the head lad was most definitely not leading by example and was quite ill on the way home!! We think he’s getting old….he thinks he’s just out of practice!

Tomorrow…

Nemean Lion winning last week at Sedgefield.

We have our winner from last week Nemeon Lion running at Sedgefield again tomorrow, same track, same trip, but this time a conditional race so Tommy Dowson takes the reins. Hopefully it goes without saying this race should suit him well and we have our fingers crossed for a repeat performance for his owners The Well Oiled Partnership. Good luck to all and come home safe.
