Wednesday 9th Aug…

A painfully close 2nd for Mr Carbonator!

Mr Carbonator.

It was a photo finish for Mr Carbonator and Jimmy Quinn at Nottingham yesterday after hitting the lead 2f out he was just beat to the post by a nostril! That makes both our 2yr olds putting up great efforts this past week with first time out Silverlight narrowly missing a win at Thirsk on Friday.

Two cakes for Megan…

Today it was Megan’s 17th birthday, and as she is chief cake maker in the yard the lads took it upon themselves to attempt to return the favour by making her a cake! Sam went for a lovely Victoria sponge with added chocolate chips, and Tommy made a fantastic chocolate cake. Both were great efforts and all the staff were on hand as always to do some taste testing! Meg has informed us she is about to crack on with her driving lessons, so if you live around the area keep your eyes on the road!!!

Tomorrows runners are Shine Baby Shine and Good Time Ahead at Newcastle, both in the Apprentice race. Paula Muir rides Shine Baby Shine and Ross Turner rides Good Time Ahead. Good luck to the both of them and their owners, and we wish them a safe return home.

Good Time Ahead.
