New generations of National Hunt horses at Green Oaks

This weekends post is all about the young horses at Green Oaks – the two year olds that are running this season and the foals to three year olds that are out in the fields for the summer growing up. Pictured above is Lady Chloe’s striking Authorized yearling colt ( Tonto) ahead of Lady Chapp’s typical classy looking Presenting yearling colt ( Stanley) – they are firm friends from being small and stick to each other like glue in the field, its touching to watch. The two below are also a joined at the hip duo – the coal black ‘Coco’ by Passing Glance and the elegant bay ‘Twix’ by Scorpion out of multiple NH wimning mare, Pickworth.

A couple of days ago the unraced two year olds had an away gallop at Middleham behind The highly rated ‘fingal’s Cave’. It was a good trip out for them and all three will have learned for the experience. First to run will be the chestnut gelding, ‘Jaycol’s Star’ By Medicean.

Fingal’s Cave ran a very sound race at York last weekend, just out of the money But performing right up to his lofty mark of 93.
