Robin des Chapp being hosed off after exercise

A quiet day with no runners but with a lot of new horses on the yard and young horses being broken in, its still a busy time ‘behind the scenes’ for us.  We are currently teaching the young Partnership horse, Robin des Chapp to lunge before being gelded and turned away for the summer, and he is now lunging well for Simon. Also being broken in is the new Scorpion 3 year old that was bought at Goffs, he is a very good looking individual.

On Friday evening Stacey Clegg and Lily-Grace Frank had the pleasure of working with Harrogate Spring water’s Fantastic filming crew here at Philip Kirby Racing. Arabian Oasis was our wonderful model for the evening and will feature in their advertisements at Royal Ascot soon, so do keep an eye out for him on the screen whilst enjoying your time at Ascot.

Furthermore, we look forward to seeing our amazing Macmillan cancer charity jockey Joanne Ford ride Arabian Oasis in the charity race at York on the 17th of June. Jo has been riding out at Philip Kirby racing for 5 months in preperation for her charity race day.The improvements she has made in her fitness and riding technique is phenomenal and a real achievement, along with all the charity work she has been doing it is safe to say that she is one very busy lady. It is lovely to see both Arabian and Jo bonding so well leading up to the final weeks of training before the race. We are extremely excited for her big day and proud of what she has achived for herself and raised thus far for Macmilan cancer. Im sure Jo would appreciate any further donations to add to her funraising of such a personal and great cause.  https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/Joanne-Ford9
