Monday’s News & a NEW Partnership

After a couple of issues with copyright, the video is now working – its several clips taken over the last ten days, so not quite as ordered as I usually make them , but hopefully good to watch regardless!

No dream Chester result on Friday, but Archiposs finished his race well for 4th and is not the first to find their first visit to Chester a bit of a shock. He is likely to head back to a more galloping track for his next outing and remains a progressive 4 year old.

Todays Runner is Leonard Thomas at Wetherby – good luck to his conections, its a wet old day and the brollies will be out, no doubt a few non runners as well.

Our other entry this is Ice Galley at York on Thursday – he may run if Phil feels he has come out of his Ayr race well enough –  he won’t mind this forecast rain but is also not certain to make the cut.

DBS/Goffs at Doncaster

We have had several enquiries about a  FLAT/possible dual purpose summer horse for a new ‘Dibble Bridge’ partnership now that Next Edition has been retired? If 5% of a horse might be of interest to you for an immediate start from June 1st, Phil is heading to the May sales at Donny – a huge catalogue – and plenty of nice young horses to look at that would do this job. A horse like PLATINUM

Platinum bought for just £2000 at Donny and subsequent winner of the Heritage handicap Old Borough Cup for us at haydock

Amazing King, Goldan Jess, Nautical Nitwit would be just ideal! They can be found, we have done it plenty of times. We love these summer hurdlers/staying flat types and there is tons of great summer racing round available on our doorstep –  Catterick, Ripon, Thirsk, Beverley, Wetherby, Pontefract, York, Sedgefield, Doncaster…. If the horse is bought for £10,000 it would be £500 a share per Owner to purchase (20 shares) and £1250 for a full year ‘all in’ total fees , total £1750. The horse may be less of course, it may be £5/6/7 k and therefore the purchase price would be less accordingly. If this is of interest you may like to join us at the sales next week (and for dinner afterwards) its a great day out and really interesting if you haven’t been before –  24th-25th May. Please email with no obligation, to express an interest in a 1/20th share.

Our daughter’s Indy and Izzy Kirby had a great time down at the Royal Windsor show this weekend – both girls being placed in the top 6 on  their fantastically versatile pony ‘Freddie’.
