Wednesday’s News

New horse Fingal’s Cave with Julie

We have two horses making their debut for us today, Leonard Thomas and this horse, pictured above – the talented handicapper ‘Fingal’s Cave’ . Our other runner is having his second start for the yard, that’s In Focus who drops back to 7f  from 12f last time at Newcastle.  Good luck to connections of all the horses. We enjoy our trips to Catterick with runners as it’s literally ten minutes drive allowing for the roadworks – chaotic at times but once it’s all complete, the new road system round Catterick and as far down as Leeming Bar will be excellent.

Its been so breezy at the yard the last few days and the horses are all bouncing around as it really freshens them up. Not so sure about all our Team, we’ve been freezing and the hats and woolly gloves have come back out. Here are some photos of second lot cooling off this morning.

Good Time Ahead with Stacey

It’s all systems go for our trip to Ireland – leaving for Punchestown tomorrow with Courtown Oscar and Lady Buttons. They have both earned their places at the Festival, and it’s an exciting week for us all. It looks as though we will have to take on the likes of Annie Power and Apple’s Jade on Saturday as neither were declared for the Champion hurdle on Friday, but at least Vroum Vroum May is out as she is Mullins runner in the big race. We didn’t expect it to be easy, there’s a great crop of mares at the moment, but we go there in good form and hope she runs the race of her life.

We have also got a handful of runners at Wolverhampton on Saturday so it’s a busy weekend ahead.
