COURTOWN OSCAR AT HAYDOCK

Courtown Oscar in the sunshine

He’s our best chaser and he heads to Haydock today for the 3m 4f handicap chase to round off the card. It’s a local track for many of his Owners and it would be a great finale for him to end the season. With Tommy currently serving a ban, Danny Cook takes the ride and there is no stronger pilot in the North or the South. It’s unknown territory with the ground just on the easy side of good but he’s a lovely mover and as long as he gets in a rhythm he should be ok.

We had a tremendous turnout for our Partnerships Open Morning yesterday, and thankfully the rain stayed away. It would be nice to think we have some new Owners join us as a result – we certainly had some on the day – and there was plenty of interest in our lovely 2 year old Robin des Chapp, our new Partnership horse.

We are are delighted to announce the safe foaling of Royalty yesterday, she has had a big strong chestnut filly to Sixties Icon and both are doing well. This is Royalty’s final foal as she is struggling with an arthritic knee, but she can enjoy a happy summer now.
