Sunday at Uttoxeter & Tattersalls Sales

page-2-photoTransient Bay is back home and eating his tea after his first outing of the season at Uttoxeter. Having gone up a massive 34lbs since his first win last season, Stenna found it tough going today over hurdles and Nathan wisely pulled him up when he got tired. It was good to get a run under his belt, he is a huge, burly horse and while it would be good to see him drop a few pounds, particularly as he went up 4lbs for coming 2nd on his final run last year, todays mission is complete and he will be out again in the next couple of weeks. Owners please note – a report and plan has been sent out to you all by email this evening.

The grey Castleton Bloodstock yearling colt by Mastercraftsman x French Friend arrived at Newmarket this morning and is one of the first through the ring – number 11 – tomorrow at the December yearling sale. There has been a good bit of interest in him today and he has reporttedly shown himself off well. We really like this tall, scopey athletic grey – he is still unfurnished and with an easy year next year should make up into a really smart middle distance 3 year old. Mastercraftsman also has a superb strike rate for flat racers going hurdling – what a nice juvenile he could make too.

front-coverAnyone who would like a copy of our new A5 colour Greensarah-olleyOaks Racing Brochure please send a SAE to PKR, Green Oaks farm, East Appleton, Richmond, DL 10 7QE and we will be glad to send you one. Its full of good photos and information about the yard and our team. Sakhee’s City pictured right with Sarah Olley is one horse featuring in there, he is an exciting prospect for the season ahead after a good comeback 2nd at Wetherby.
