No runners for the next seven days unless Factor Fifty gets declared at Southwell if only a few runners – Phil is now planning a Huntingdon alternative  with him 2nd October and a Ludlow bumper for Tara Time. He would like another week with the mare as she is really coming to nicely.

We are though having gallopers at Newcastle before racing next week – giving the jumpers a valuable racecourse outing, and we had gallopers at Pontefract during the week – Enlighten Me having her first sight of a racecourse ridden by top jock, Douggie Costello. She went nicely and will be making her debut in the next 2-3 weeks. pictured below in front just easing up.

Its a funny time of year with loads going on but not many runners as our jumpers are all getting into full swing and the flat ones winding down.  We saw some early schooling on grass after a nice bit of rain with Lee schooling Chloe’s Image – she hadn’t jumped for 18 months but was foot perfect and looks about 3 weeks  off a run.
