The Shades of Grey Partnership’s Filly pictured above is looking really well and it won’t be long before she makes her debut – we have had to be patient with this daughter of leading first season sire, Sir Prancealot, but its all coming together with her now.

No runners at the weekend but Triple Eight & Cavalieri are at Redcar tomorrow, and Phil is at DBS Sales for a mixed horses in training catalogue. We also had a nice new horse arrive yesterday, a 2 year old unraced gelding for the flat, he is to be called ‘What’s up Walter’. He settled straight away and was tucking into his haylage within minutes.

Its all go at the yard and we have two new members of staff starting this week and next week – one of whom is a ten pound claimer for us. We have been looking for a while for a really good young claimer and we look forward to telling you all about him shortly.

Stenna the big horse ( above) is well on the road to fitness for the NH season, being about 18hh And thickset with it  he always takes plenty of getting fit but he came back in during July this time and he will be ready for action as soon as we get soft ground by the end of October. We have an exciting team for the winter and with our first bumper winner, Suggestion, winning in great style, we hope its a catalyst for the months ahead.
