Become an Owner?
Perhaps you have thought about becoming an Owner with us and not made the move yet – You are welcome to come and view our Partnership horses any time if you are interested and come and have a feel for the place .
We try to run our Partnerships in a relaxed, personal and enjoyable way for all, and apart from the Shades of Grey with 50 shares, our others are all 20 single owners or a ‘family’ share. For example – all our Owners attending YORK tomorrow with Next Edition have been allocated a free badge, some 2, and at Aintree with ‘Call it On’ for The Green Oaks P’ship we have managed to secure 2 free Owners badges and dinners for every Owner and their partner/wife/husband/friend. Every one of our Owners, partnership or single is welcome to come and see their horse at the yard whenever they want, and we can happily say that many of our Partnership Owners have become firm friends with shares in a number of horses (having enjoyed the experience) and we thoroughly enjoy meeting them at the races, having a meal and have also recently attended the sales with several of them. Its an affordable way to own a racehorse, and hopefully one that runs to a decent level – and with an upfront figure for a 6 or 12 month term, everyone knows just what it will cost. We also give existing Owners first chance to remain in their Partnership for the next term – and the option to come out if they wish to.
Our newest Partnership will launch on July 1st, and we will have the new Pship name shortly. Phil has bought a very exciting prospect, a 3 year old son of top NH sire Beneficial out a good dam with plenty of ‘black type’ in the immediate family (photos of him above and below) . He is a gorgeous, deep, athletic gelding who will arrive at Green Oaks tomorrow with the other horses bought at Goffs and he will start the breaking in process next week. The aim would be to have him ready to run in a National Hunt flat race sometime in the early new Year. We have ‘upped the ante’ with the cost of this ownership to £2250 for the first year as he cost 41,000 Euro – but he will fall in line with our other partnership costs after that at £1250 for the full year. Over half the places have been filled and we expect shares in him to sell out fairly quickly. I will be posting a sales video with him on it (Lot 16) later this evening.
