Thursday’s News
It was a drisly morning but Adam and Nathan were kept busy schooling at first and second lot…I watched Nautical Nitwit, Arabian Oasis, Bold Henmie and Rajapur school and Phil told me Keep Up schooled very well earlier- he goes to Cartmel on Bank Holiday Monday.

Its not just the horses schooling well, Phil’s dog Sukey was really flying this morning…

Next Edition looked in good form with himself this morning – with his regular rider Sarah away for a well deserved holiday, Katie managed him fine, he is pictured here with her back at the yard after exercise.

One who was having a nap after their work was the Shades of Grey Partnership’s ‘Enlighten Me’ who was wearing who smart new ‘shades’ rug.

Another on the gallops looking good today was the chestnut Birthday Guest who has some time off after his fall at Market Rasen but is back 100% now.

Birthday Guest with Lauren
Lauren has been lunging a new 4 year old by Galileo’s Full brother, Black Sam Bellamy – he is a gorgeous unbroken bay and a half brother to two listed class 140 + rated jumpers and a Full brother to a recent point debut winning sister who has just sold For £30,000 to Emma Lavelle’s. The Owner would like to sell shares in this top class prospect, he can be split into quarters of fifths if anyone would like to think about him….A proper photo tomorrow but for now this is his head over the door! He is a very exciting NH prospect to have in the yard.

New Black Sam Bellamy gelding
Another new horse to the yard is the gelding ‘Discay’ who runs tomorrow for his new Owners at Musselburgh in the 1m 6f handicap and he is the shortest price of our three runners, the trio being completed by Triple Eight & Pass Muster. We think they all have a sound EW chance, we don’t know a lot about Discay yet but he is a capable performer who also jumps well and has plenty left to give. Phil bought him from DBS and he looks good value – a win tomorrow would more than recoup his purchase price.

The good looking DISCAY
Good luck to all our Owners in the handicap at Musselburgh, and we are part of them owning half of Pass Muster so looking forward to the race with even more enthusiasm!

Seminole Dream as a foal
Its a long drive to Bath but that is where Seminole Dream runs tomorrow in a fairly hot looking plus 10 novice fillies stakes. She has been ready for a while but got upset loading first time at Ponte and has had some intensive training since to make sure there are hopefully no further problems. She runs for The Well Oiled Partnership and is a very likeable filly by Arcano.

Seminole Dream now a 2 year old.
On the bloodstock front, Lady Chloe and her Authorized colt will be

Lady Chloe with her Authorized colt
coming to Green Oaks on Saturday – Chloe is scanned in foal to Presenting which is exciting. Another week or so should see Marmot Bay & Musikhani back with their foals, how fantastic to see Fast Company sire his first classic winner at the weekend – Musikhani’s bay colt is by him. Helen Wood is scanned in foal to Martaline and she will return in the summer with Lady Chloe’s Shirocco colt, Roccoco who has remained in France since he was born to qualify for the French Premiums. He can come back from June 15th.
