Weekend News – updated

What a good run we saw from Prince (Improved) at Doncaster yesterday in the novice hurdle – there may only have been four runners but he gave the   short priced favourite plenty to think about, and James reported back   that  there was a lot to like about him. It won’t have done his handicap mark many favours but it looks as though Prince is up to winning a late Spring maiden, he will prefer a sounder surface and is a nice young prospect to have in the yard as well as being family bred. We have his good looking two year old half brother by Josr Algarhoud coming on well.

We are really pleased to bring news that Marmot Bay had a big strong chestnut colt by Garswood for Owner John Hanson, two foals, 2 colts now so far. It shouldn’t be too long before we hear news of Lady Chloe who is expecting to Authorized.

Today we have Moscow Presents at Sedgefield in the 3m 3f handicap hurdle for Owners Nobaj ltd. He has been coming to form of late and with the horses in such great shape we are hoping for a big run from him. Moscow is one of my favourite horses and is a real character who stands for hours in the box with his tounge stuck out.

Yesterday we held our daughter Indy’s 7 year old Birthday party at Green Oaks – a Dog Show Party with about 30 children and dogs. We made use of the huge barn three that doesnt start getting stables in until tomorrow, and also the fabalous new Outdoor Arena for the dog jumping. The girls then tested it out later jumping their ponies and it was brilliant to ride on. Some photos from our day…
