Windy Friday

We were just about the only yard in Middleham to ride out today and after one lot up the 3f, Simon and Phil decided to hack out the remainder, it was that windy up the gallop they could barely stay on! But we do like all our horses to get out every day and they love their routine. We did keep the two year olds in though, they just had hand walking as they would have been a real handful to stay on in the wind.

Its a very quiet rest of the week and next week, with just Moscow Presents tomorrow at Doncaster and Eastview Boy entered next Wednesday. Most of our flat horses are having their break, as are some of our better ground jumpers.

Next week, weather permitting, we will be schooling Cleve Cottage and Transient Bay over fences and will post a video of this. There will also be a new video uploaded tonight of schooling last week.

Rachel one our staff members at Dibble Bridge sent me this great photo of Rebel and Robin relaxing in their box, they enjoy living together, we keep most of our foals in pairs and dont have any problems with stable vices as they do not get so bored.

The foals are now of course officially yearlings and ours measured up very well against the foals on offer at DBS, and there were certainly none like our our big Robin des Champs who is that big and well grown he looks almost like a two year old.

Work was a bit held up today at Green Oaks Due to the high winds but its been going really well all week and there are diggers and machinery everywhere! The second barn went up mid week and there are two more to follow. It wont be long before the internal boxes are fixed inside.
