Philip Kirby Racing

Racehorse Trainer based at Richmond, North Yorkshire

Saturday at Chepstow

Its all on eyes on Channel 4 with Chepstow and Kempton on TV being re-scheduled Welsh National day – its absolutely lashing down there so I hope the fact that they have brought the big race forward doesnt mean they will abandon the rest of the card! We have just the one runner there but he is our best young horse in the yard,  Courtown Oscar bidding to make it five wins from six races. Phil took him down there and with James Reveley on board we’d love to make it a Yorkshire winner in the 2.55, the 2m 7f limited Novices Chase.  Courtown has pleased Phil since his latest Wetherby win, and he is a big strong gelding to go through this bottomless ground with a reasonable weight which should also help. Its a big step up in class for him, all we can do now is hope he is up to it and of course come back safely. Good luck to his Owners, Nobaj ltd who are there to watch him in action today.
