We have just the one runner today in the bumper, Eastview Boy who is a gorgeous looking big liver chestnut by local stallion, Iktibas and a full brother to Iktiview that won a couple of races for us. ‘Willie’ as he is known at home, has been ready to run a couple of times before some niggly problems but he is fit and ready for his first racecourse appearance today and we would love to see him run with promise for his Partnership, headed by Eddie Coates who bred him out of his own mare. The race, although not a big field, is high on quality, and it does not look an easy bumper – if you can get such a thing. Good luck to all involved and this is just the start of his career, he has all the makings of a good sort of National Hunt horse as you will see if they show some paddock shots today.
We are pleased to report that recent winners, Courtown Oscar and Transient Bay have come out of their races well, Stenna having his first hack out today at Castleton after having a day in the paddock yesterday, he spent the morning getting as filthy as he could rolling in the muddiest part of the paddock. He returns to Sharp Hill in the morning and is a likely runner back at Uttoxeter next Friday. We suprisingly still have two shares in him available, this is a reduced share price cost to reflect the time left in the partnership term (a 12 month renewal will come March 1st) but buying into him now means you have first choice to renew and also the share of the prize money he wins in December – already a first prize in the pot! Its got to be excellent value for money and you could be going racing next week with a favourite. Please email email@example.com for details. We were sent this photo from one of Transient Bay’s Owners, Brian Wright of him in the paddock at Uttoxeter.
News of the yearling fillies, here are photos of the two we havent previously shown being ridden, The Shades of Grey Partnership’s ‘Enlighten Me’ and Castleton Bloodstock’s ‘Arcano’ filly, both taking it all in their stride. Shares available in both these fillies.
