Friday’s news – 2 videos
No runners again today but FOUR tomorrow – three at Wetherby, two for Owners Nobaj ltd, Courtown Oscar & Woodpole Academy, and one for The Well Oiled Partnership – the wondeful grey ‘Stopped Out’ (Monty). He may now be 11, but Monty still shows plenty of go at home and the heavy ground over 2
miles should not inconvenience him, he will be jumping out quickly under James Reveley and hoping to dominate the race, although he is handicapped to the hilt. We have had some brilliant days with Monty, his finest hour winning the Bet 365 Hurdle at Sandown, making all at 20-1. The plan is that he will retire afer his next start at Cheltenham over the new year period. In the same race, Adam Nicol rides Woodpole Academy for us, Woodpole is entered at the sales, and this will be his final start for us unless he can recapture his pastnovice form. He is a gorgeous big horse that we have not (yet) found the key to.
Courtown Oscar reappears quite quicky after his Carlisle win, he is off a lower chase mark and obviously Phil feels he has no ill effects from his latest outing, although this would always be in the back of our minds. He has no penalty as the race he won was over hurdles. James reveley was at the yard to school him during the week and he jumped super , I will try to upload his schooling session later.
Cavalieri bids for back to back wins at Wolverhampton, and he is paper favourite to do so in what looks quite a warm handicap. Top AW jock Adam Kirby is on board and he has a great strike rate for us. We are hoping that now Cavvy is in the winning habit he remembers to do it all again so smoothly! Its over 2 miles and he wasn’t over penalised too much with his recent 5lb rise.
This is a compilation of videos taken by Phil on his mobile phone of two our our yearling filles up at Sharp Hill, the Equiano and the Aqlaam are now ridden away and cantering up the 3f. Both are well grown, good moving fillies, FOR SALE, whole or shares. They both walked through the stalls nicely as well. The other two filies by Sir Prancealot (Enlighten me) and by Arcano x Seminole Lass are also now ridden away.
‘Tara Time’ for the newly re- formed Philip Kirby Racing Partnership is now back in work at Dibble Bridge, she is pictured here back from her ride with Kim this morning, accompanied by the handsome ‘Quadriga’ who has had a few days holidays here. Tara has been good these past few days and will do some roadwork here before beginning cantering at Sharp Hill. Another to start back in work and ready clipped now for action is ‘Factor Fifty’ who will be doing his roadwork here from Monday. Owners in ‘Tara Time’ please note, this Partnership is now FULL and you will be receiving your new certificates and photos with your Christmas cards and Newsletter before Christmas.
This a short video of Julie Heneghan’s first ride as a jockey, a very respectable 3rd on The Dibble Bridge Partnership’s ‘Next Edition’ .
