Racehorse Trainer based at Richmond, North Yorkshire

Monday june 15th

It was a steady day at the yard with no runners and work morning usually Tuesday. Simon took this photo of Agglestone Rock up the 7f, keen as always, Lauren rides him most days and he settles well for her. This time it’s Ross though, Ross will be riding Call it On for us in some more amateur races this summer.

Quadriga is the new flat horse that Julie Heneghan will be riding in the Staff Race at Doncaster on the 26th , he is a five year old gelding rated 69 and the winner of three races already this season. As the horse had to be rated 70 or under he has the perfect rating, and will be for sale to stay on the yard and hopefully continue his winning ways.

Tomorrow we run Splash of Verve at BEVERLEY ( sorry, not Carlisle as I reported earlier!! )  he showed some improvement on his last start but has not yet found winning form as he did at the end of his 2 year old career. We hope he gets a strong pace tomorrow as he doesn’t settle early without a true run gallop.

We will be running two Bumper newcomers soon, the chestnut geldings Nabateo and Improved.  They are bred quite differently, being by Sea the Stars i don’t think Nabateo was bred to make his debut on a National Hunt Race but he has a high strike rate with his hurdlers so far, and Nabateo has the build to go jumping.

Improved (Prince) as a two year old

Broodmare News-  Lady Chapp is scanned in foal to Presenting and Epicurean to Midnight Legend. Exciting 11 months to look forward to.
