Easter Monday

Hope you are all enjoying a sunny bank Holiday – its a beautiful morning at Middleham and Castleton. Two runners today but only one possible winner – as they both have to take each other on in the valuable 2m 3f handicap at Market Rasen. With the ground good to soft it should suit both Lady Buttons and Factor Fifty – no excuses for either, and although Buttons has a race fit advantage, Frankie has excellent course form. Buttons goes right handed for the first time but Phil doesn’t believe it should inconvenience her. Adam takes 3lbs off the mare and James Reveley rides Frankie for the first time. Good luck to keith and Jayne Sivills and The Topspec Partnership.

It was a warm day here yesterday and we were pleased to welcome ‘The Jessies’ for the afternoon to visit Goldan Jess and their new yearling filly out of Hula Ballew who will hopefully take over from Jess when he retires. Jess came back form Middleham for their visit and enjoyed showing off in the pen. He went back to work with Phil this morning!
