Friday at Sedgefield

But first congratulations to Mike Grech & family with their tough Oly’Roccs at Wolverhampton yesterday, making all under a well judged ride from Joey Haynes. Oly has been running well and this was a deserved win after a 3rd and 2nd from his last  two appearances. He was a nice ew price at 7-1 and this was a welcome winner for us after a frustratingly quiet period. image In the same Ownership, Istimraar bids to win the Sedgefield  2m4f handicap hurdle final today, the first prize of over £12k is well contested and he is an attractive each way price if he can bounce back from Haydock which was just too sharp for him. He has been on the go a long time but seems well at home and deserves to take his chance with Adam Nicol on board again. He is our only runner at our local track today, but we have an important one tomorrow at Kelso with our stable star ‘Stopped Out’ declared for the 2m5f valuable  novice chase. This is a track Monty acts well round, and he must go with a great chance,it would really top his season off memorably. Below are the five horses declared: image Other news… We were gutted to be told that Platinum needs at least another 6 months off following a scan this week. He is back out in the field for another summer and will now have to make a comeback as a 9 year old…he will probably have to wait until the flat season 2016 now, but time is a great healer. Agglestone Rock did have a good scan however, and phil is pressing on with him now,
