It was a busy work morning at Middleham and a group of bumper horses worked together, James Reveley came in to ride out and amongst others he rode the PKR Partnership horse, Can’t Believe It. Phil was particularly pleased with Lady Buttons who we are looking forward to running at Doncaster towards the end of the month. Chloe’s Image did her last piece of work before her comeback at Wolverhampton next week, she will be ridden by Ross in the 1m 4f amateur race and he rode work on the mare today.
Birthday Guest wasn’t placed at Newcastle today but he is absolutely fine, he just needs to find his mark as he started off with a very high opening mark of 97 given his modest flat form. Phil says he is the easiest horse to do on the yard and is always enthusiastic. Kyle James rode him for Owners, Nojab ltd.
Apologies you have not had the Tatts sales video to watch yet but our computer isn’t connecting to the internet as our dog chewed the wire! I am updating the site via the ipad but it’s not powerful enough to load the full video to YouTube. Should be with you in a few days once fixed.
Most of you won’t be able to believe our snowy photos taken at Castleton today. Phil left at 6.15 this morning and it was rock solid ice everywhere and minus 5, it was still minus 3 at 11am and we had a power cut which started about 2am last night ( freezing when we woke up) and came back on about 3.30 pm this afternoon.
We could only get the outside taps working at lunchtime as we couldn’t get any hot water to thaw them with the electric being off! What a performance, yet the horses didn’t mind, they all loved their turnout in the snow, particularly the handsome Cavalieri.
We have had a good response so far for our new flat Partnership, I have been busy posting out welcome packs to new Owners in this well bred filly by Sir Prancealot. When joining you receive the items below plus a copy of our latest newsletter in a large silver envelope, it’s a very special gift for Valentines Day and it can be sent for you to give to a loved one – please remember that Owners partners are always welcome too at the yard and the races, and in the paddock of course . To watch her video see the For Sale or Partnerships page.
