We have two young horses running today at our closest track to Sharp hill…it won’t be a long drive home whatever happens. Cavalieri is a flat winner for us at this venue, He has schooled well and will have the services of the vastly experienced James Reveley in the saddle for his hurdles debut. However, this looks like a particularly hot novice and with the best will in the world he is an unlikley winner today, first time out. The market makes McCoy a strong favourite and its not hard to see why. A good jumping round is our first consideration, he is fit and well as you can see from the photo above..Its an exciting day for his owners seeing him over timber for the first time, good luck to David Marshall and Simon Wyatt.
Master Moon runs in the 3.10, a – for once – uncompetitive looking bumper with nothing standing out on paper. He ran quite green first time out (4th) when staying on off a strong pace. The horses weren’t right then so we are hoping for better today and our experienced conditional Adam Nicol claims 3lbs off him, Adam lost his 5lb claim last week
This morning, we have James Reveley up schooling this morning, and Hail the Brave has just been put through his paces.
Another photo taken by Ian Forsyth to enjoy – this one sees young filly ‘Preachers belle’ up the front.
