Monday 17th November
Three runners today, and Phil was pleased enough with all of them, Cathedral showing a good aptitude for hurdling on his first start over timber. He stayed on nicely for 5th and handled the heavy ground no problem. He will be one for novice handicaps after Christmas.
We drew a blank on Saturday and with Lady Buttons running below form we didn’t have the day we hoped for. However, there were some good runs from Splash of Verve at W’hampton (3rd and finishing best once clear) and Oscar O’scar, 3rd in the staying handicap at Wetherby. Celtic Agent and Rocky Two also ran with promise on their jumping debuts. Most importantly all the horses came back safely and it was a great team effort with so many runners. Some photos from the day…
Tomorrow we have Istimraar at Fakenham and Enzaal at Southwell. Report tomorrow evening, both have each way chances.
