Carlisle Races – winner!

Brave win from Just Cameron at Carlisle

4 winners in 4 days….

just cameron winsRichie played catch me if you can up the home straight at Carlisle today – and no one could. Just Cameron has ran two good races already this season and he was due a win stepping back in trip – something Richie had felt was so necessary after his last run at Newcastle when he visibly tired on the run in. Not so today and he put everything together for a great win for owners Paul and Jean Chapman. Julie drove him there and had him looking immaculate, hoping she won BTO!

Racing Post analysis: The keen-going JUST CAMERON was suited by the drop in trip and won a shade readily after jumping to the front four from home. He could add to this if the key has been found to him.

QUOTES: Richie McGrath, rider of Just Cameron: The drop back in trip has helped him and Phil (Kirby) has his horses in great form. He was a bit keen for the first quarter of the race but he´s jumped super and I can´t wait for him to jump a fence.

Tomorrow its an old favourite (although he’s not that old!) ‘Stormy Morning’. Russ kennemore is in the plate and hoping to gain an AW win to add to our tally this week. Good luck to Ownaracehorse and hope they have a good day out with Stormy.

Earlier news:

Just Cameron runs at carlisle today, stepping back in trip to 2 miles which Richie feels he needs after riding him last time. The ground shouldn’t be a concern and this free moving gelding has been knocking on the door this season. Not many runners but we aren’t prominent in the betting, it looks competitive. Good luck to Paul and Jean Chapman, can we get a fourth winner in four days?

Rosie Du Berlais, Celtic Agent, Ustica, Brunello, Ardenlee Lad and Tool Boola are all in good order following their recent efforts. Brunello ran yet another sound race for a close up fourth on the AW…he will be in that top spot soon, and he always runs a good race and collects some prizemoney.
