27th December News

Just checked the ‘entries and dec’s page for Sporting Life and have realised it is incomplete…therefore at the bottom of today’s news i have copied and pasted this link from Racing Post for our entries over the next 6 days….

It might have seemed as though we didnt have a great day yesterday but there were some good runs – Embsay Crag looked as though he would have won bar falling at the last. Poor Embsay was a bit sore behind after this tumble (Richie is ok)  and its such a shame as he was travelling strongly at the time and we know he stays well. Triple Eight also ran a good race for 3rd (at 20-1) and for the first time appeared to stay the 1m 4f well. This opens up new hurdling possibilities for him, and with a bit of respite from the handicapper he will be back to winning ways on the flat as well.  He is now likely to be schooled and seen more locally at Catterick or Sedgefield on his next start. Both Brunello and Iktiview are fine despite not running to their best form – Brunello probably found the 2m 4f a bit far in the soft ground at Wetherby, he travelled like the winner for most of the way but faded up the home straight. Kyle reported that the pace of the race did not suit Iktiview who needs a stronger gallop over this shorter trip. After getting outpaced he was staying on again at the line.

Today we have Next Edition at Wolverhampton  running for the Dibble bridge Partnership, good luck to his Owners and Eva Moscrop who takes the ride.

Its a wild rainy morning at both Middleham and Castleton but the horses are out at exercise and everyone is wrapped up in their waterproofs.

Below are our list of entries…its an exciting day in prospect tomorrow with our star hurdler ‘Stopped Out’ declared for a five runner race at Newbury, he will handle the ground, hoping he can manage to defy his burdon of top weight as well. Its a small but  select field in opposition and it obviously looks tough but ‘Monty’ continues to thrill us all with his brave front running style.  He runs in the colours of the Well Oiled Partnership and there will be a good crowd there to support him tomorrow at the Berkshire track, good luck to all involved. he is pictured below with Sarah Olley at exercise and winning on his latest start at Bangor with Richie.
