Saturdays News

imageIts been a long drive back from Lingfield…the X factor has not held Phils attention for long…..however, Full Speed belied his big odds and ran very well, Eva getting a lovely run up the inside, and having his first run for a while, just didnt quicken up as well as the winner.  He is back at home now and eating his tea Alongside Ancient Times, both fine after their runs.

Next Edition is also okay after a very rough passage at Wolverhamton last night, he was cut up so much in the end he was wisely eased when his chance was gone. He looked a little short of pace early on and a step up to 1m4f next time looks likely. Kiwayu did nor run as well as we expected at Newcastle, no doubt something will come to light as he is much better than this.

There was plenty of schooling done last week, horses who jumped particularly well were the novices, Woodpole Academy, Lady Buttons, and Perennial.
